Resembles ordinary BlackJack with minor changes.
Cards are dealt one at a time starting from the player to the dealer`s left.
In clockwise sequence, the dealer deals one card face-up to each player beginning to his or her left, and ending with himself or herself. The dealer then deals a second card face-up to each player, BUT deals his or her own second card face-down. Now, each player has two cards before them face-up, while the dealer has one face-up and one face-down.
Special rules:
1. Dealer wins when a draw is announced. For instance, when a dealer and a player have 18, dealer gets the winnings.
2. Like any other player the dealer gets double winnings for blackjack.
As a rule in home blackjack, the winner of blackjack becomes a dealer. If there are two candidates, the player to the dealer`s left has the priority. The dealer with blackjack keeps his right.
Variants
If a player gets a pair, e.g. w pair of six or jacks, he may consider them two hands. He exposes a pair of cards and makes a stake on two of them. Dealer gives him two cards for each of the pair. Then the player may remain and ask more, playing each combination according to rules.
A player may expose both cards, double the stake. In this case he may buy in only one additional card. It is permitted only his score is equal to 10 or 11.
Mistakes and violations
A player who missed the first round must ask for cards in the upper part of the pack before the second round or go out of the round.
A player with the extra card, must slough one of them or play both, making stakes separately.
If the dealer gives the unwanted card to the player, the latter may keep it or slough. The sloughed card is put under the pack.
If a player gets the exposed card, he may either stake or get the nest card face up or go out of the game. A player whose cards add up to more than 21 has "busted", and automatically forfeits their bet to the dealer. If the dealer busts, all players whose hands did not bust automatically win.
Strategy
There are the following ways for the player when the dealer must stand with 17 and get with 16: to stand always with 17 and above, to stand from 13 to 16, if the dealer has 6 and below. It is necessary to ask for the card if the dealer has from 7 to 10 or an ace, from 12 and below. Ace is equal to 1 with any number till 17 (i.e. to ask with 4-2-A, meaning 7).
You may double with 11, if the dealer doesn`t have ace, or with 10, if he doesn`t have ace and a card of 10 scores.
It is highly recommended to cut aces and eight. Do not cut picture-cards, ten, five, four. You may cut other pairs, if the dealer doesn`t have 7 and above or an ace.
There are the following rules of doubling the stakes: The dealer must double all stakes with picture- card or an ace. A player doubles once more with an ace, not with picture-card. The question is whether the dealer can buy in or not, when he has a choice. This depends on the number of opponents and their scores. If several players keep their cards and do not buy in, he must stand with 12 or 13, because he might want to buy in and there is a danger to overbuy.
