Boston - Slought and Widow
It`s better to slough singleton (single card of the suit) or an empty card of the long suit without honors.
If you have an ace and a small card, you are sure to slough the latter. However, if it goes along with a queen and a king, you`d better not to slough it.
You will be right if you keep two lower cards with a queen, especially if one of these cards is a jack.
In Miser higher cards are sloughed or lower cards if they may spoil the game. In such cases the renounce of any suit is reasonable.
The skill of widow is important in Miser. You have to be careful if you are not the first player. You`d better to have more lower cards in order to give away cards to the opponent.

If your suit is followed, and you have an ace and a queen of this suit, you should keep in mind that a king is wanted. That`s why you lead a queen and your opponent`s king will lay under your ace, so you will take two tricks instead of one.
If you have five trumps including ace and queen, first lead the ace and then the first high card after the queen. If the opponent`s king is sloughed, your queen is approved.
If you have taken away your opponent`s trumps, play your long suit. Keep in mind that you should follow suit and not make a renounce of a suit.
If you notice your opponents` renounces, don`t follow the suit of their slough.
If you have an equal number of suits, slough the card that will be repulsed by your opponent. In this case you may overtrump.
If you started to slough a suit, continue with it. Don`t fuss about.
If you know for sure that nobody has trumps, lead the trump.
If you opponent leads strong cards, be sure to lead the highest suit. Probably, you will lose it, but will be able to take an additional trick.
If you have no additional trick, it is better to lead a fake card.
If you have only minor trumps and a renounce, keep these trumps: they may defend the suit from the opponent.
If you play whist, you must show the best suit, lead trumps and approve your kings. First, kings are won back, then a fake card is led, because the opponent may repulse it and overtrump the king. With no strong trumps and honors, the player may lead an empty card or even singleton.
If you know your opponent to have a renounce, follow suit, even if it is a repeated move.
If no opponent was able to overtrump, you shouldn`t overtrump your partner`s card without necessity.
