Texas Holdem Poker

This game is absorbing for observers as well as for players. It is rather aggressive, bright-catch, unpredictable; it makes to make big stakes, thus, the pot grows. All factors along with simplicity of rules make it attractive. This is a basic game in World Series of Poker. The winner takes $1,000,000 and 14-carat golden bracelet.

Hold`em originated from 7-Card stud. The player makes a 5-card combination out of 7 cards. But this is the only resemblance. Only 2 cards are dealt face down, five are placed in the middle of the table, all players use them. There can be 9 players at the table and even more, as few cards play.

Types of Hold`em depend on stakes. Begginers stake $1-$2 or $2-$5, advanced players stake $300-$600, $500-$1000 and more. Regardless of the size of stakes, this is a gambling game. Here two blinds are used.

The open
The player to the dealer`s left is called a small blind; he has to bet a half of the minimal stake. The third to the dealer`s left is a big blind; he has to bet the full minimum.

Then the dealer starts dealing out cards one at a time from the fourth player clockwise. Each play has to get two pocket cards.

As the stakes were obligatory for the blind, now the player to the big blind`s right bets. He may call or raise or fold. The stakes are made clockwise. Go to the stakes.

The flop
After the first round, dealer placed first three cards in the middle of the table. They are called flop. The blind start the round, if they are out of the game, the first player to the dealer`s left starts. It is allowed to check. Stakes are made at the lowest rate ($10).

The turn
The fourth common card is on the table. First, the blind bet, their stakes are limited by $20. This is the first round with such high stakes.

The river
The firth and the last common card is dealt out..

The showdown
